Liquid Amber is definitely my favorite for espresso. It has a bold, rich, flavor that's never bitter. This coffee tastes great as a pour over or Americano, but really shines in steamed milk drinks. The amount of crema you get with liquid amber is amazing.

I have a Breville Barista Express and am trying to perfect that perfect draw. I usually have digestive issues with the darker roast coffees but it is true that it depends on the skill of the roasting. I had a wonderful draw, full of crema and am not experiencing any after effects. My preference in taste is for a medium roast but for those that like the punch of a dark roast, it is great. My next attempt will be a medium roast from Good Brothers and I hope that I will have the same syrupy draw with wonderful crema.

Excellent flavor. Coffee bean aroma extends a very welcoming salutation upon opening. Coffee is rich with very aromatic color and opens with a crema that awakes you with anticipation. No disappointment upon your very first sip. My tastebud finds a rich chocolaty berry flavor with zero crusty aftertaste or bitterness. I even pulled this in a cappuccino, and it was delicious!
Even as your pull cools, you will find varying flavors opening up. I'll bet even light coffee drinkers can't be satisfied on a single cup.

I've been on a quest to find great beans for my daily espresso. I really like Good Brothers Liquid Amber, and even more so than their Neapolitan Blend. It produces a nice cappuccino that is not bitter or overly acidic. Has nice flavor without the brightness of a lot of contemporary "espresso" beans from other companies. I'm pretty happy to add this to my daily routine. The only bad thing about purchasing this was the long ship/delivery time via the US Postal Service. It took them 8 days to get this to me. Because of the importance of getting the freshest possible beans in the shortest time after roasting, I think most coffee companies should drop USPS and switch to a faster and more reliable carrier.

It took me a while to dial in the bean. While it looks straight up amazing coming out, if you don't get the temp right it will have a bitter after taste. I was able to get amazing results with the following:

This Holy day Easter 2023: I review #goodbrotherscoffee #espresso #liquidamber #coffeebean. I ordered a 4 ounce bag online and they roast to order! Depending how you grind/use your beans will determine when you use freshly roasted beans. Because we grind to an espresso in our home so fine it’s almost powder, the rule is 2-3 weeks post roast. (Pour over is immediate!) When it arrived in the mail I dated when to use, which perfectly landed on Easter Sunday! Liquid Amber is a dark roast but not as dark as an Italian roast. I was skeptical when I saw brown beans in the bag. Oh great… another fruity bright coffee- sissy stuff in my book. So… I weighed out the dose (20g) and ground it. Nice aroma from the grind. Mildly fruity so still skeptical. Tamped the portafilter and started the machine. Now we’re talking. It was beautiful. A thick crema due to high c02 post roast. I made us a double shot americano with steamed half n half. Breve I believe. The result: the very best coffee yet. Velvety and super robust with strong cocoa notes. Nothing sissy about this stuff! So far the best coffee I’ve ever had. 2023- The Year of Delicious Coffee just keeps showing up and showing out! Happy Easter from the Willises! ☕️
