India Kannagere Estate Robusta
CUP PROFILE: Roasted Barley, Malty Sweetness, Big Body
About the coffee:
We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this Indian Estate Robusta. We have been looking for a quality robusta to share for two years now and its here! It carries some of the unique bittering, savory flavors typical of Robusta, yet also reveals a mild sweetness and overt spice notes that make the cup quite interesting and enjoyable. If you've never tried Robusta, be prepared for bold, shocking flavors. Expect some barly sweetness, massive body, opaque low tones.
As the coffee cools, it reveals intriguing top notes of clove oil, unsweetened baking chocolate, savory squash blossom, and a lasting roasted barley aftertaste. This Robusta has an incredibly dense body and mouthfeel.
Resting Suggestions:
For drip brewing, allow 10 days from the roast date for optimal flavor. For espresso, we recommend resting 1-2 weeks. However, if you're running low on coffee, feel free to brew it sooner!
Roast Level:
This is a Medium- Dark Our goal was to retain some of the sweetness and not roast this on the dark side.
