India Monsooned Malabar Roasted For Drip Or Espresso

Ordered an old flavor I hadn’t had in a while as well as a new flavor. The Indian Monsoon Malabar however is my old standby and continues to be my all time favorite. Please don’t ever discontinue this one! It’s the absolute best of the beat and is always consistent!

As always this is a great blend for a daily cappuccino or latte. My favorite! Good Brothers has the best coffee blends.

I’ve really enjoyed getting my coffee beans from Good Brothers, the blend of flavors are the proper way to start the day. I’m not alone either, every guest that tries the espresso made from India Monsooned Malabar says that it’s some of the best coffee they’ve had. All Good Brothers coffee beans are freshly roasted within a week or less of me receiving them. Also I can’t say enough great things about the customer service at Good Brothers. They are very professional and will work with you to help answer any questions you may have. I give their coffee and customer service 5 stars and look forward to many more cups of exquisite coffee for my family and my guests, highly recommend trying India Monsooned Malabar!

Still good but it seems to be slightly less roasted than last time. I do prefer it a bit darker. Heavy mouth feel loads of crema and that pungent bite that I am accustomed to with this type of coffee. Personally, I find it shines in a cortado where it has a toffee like taste.

My go to bean. I serve many family members and friends and for espresso I cant find anything better.

I bought 3 bags this time and wanted to wait until I had started the 3rd bag. As always I am completely blown away by not only how good this blend is but for how long. I am now 57 days after the roast date and it’s still just as good as it was on my first bag. I keep this unopened in a baggie with all the air squeezed out until ready to use. When opened I dose out what I will have the next morning and place them in a small amber jar. I keep them in my cabinet for the next morning. Squeezing all the air out of the bag and baggie placing it back in the freezer works really well for me. This is my routine and it works perfectly to have a far better cup of espresso than I feel that I have ever gotten in a coffee shop. As always this Malabar blend continues to be my absolute favorite espresso that I have ever tried. It’s always consistent. The Crema is always perfect but disappears slightly just enough for me to achieve the best latte art. If the Crema doesn’t dissolve somewhat my latte art is always just too thick. This blend is just right and my latte art is so easy to do. My latte art may not be perfect by a true barista’s viewpoint but I am always pleased with it which to me is what’s the most important. It doesn’t hurt that this blend also tastes fantastic. Smooth and rich for my morning without being too heavy. It’s truly awesome!

Coffee is my passion. MONSOON coffee is my latest addiction. I've tried many, and have now found the best. Good Brother's Monsoon Coffee is mellow, feels good in the mouth and in the tummy. It's smooth and reminds me a bit of what "cowboy coffee" might taste like -- no nonsense, real, smokey cuppa joe. For the first time in my life, I'm on an auto ship for these beans, I don't ever want to be caught without it in the morning! Every bag has a roasting date, proving just how fresh it is, and it shows.

This coffee has amazing crema and flavor. A lot of Co2 in this one for sure. Has great chocolate notes and very is very smooth.

Lighter roast than I expected and I was ready for that but didn't know it! Full flavor and smooth taste.

I am the ultimate coffee snob -- nope, I never drink coffee out... prefer my own. Strictly Monsoon coffee the past several years - earthy, smokey, "cowboy" coffee, smooth and zero bitterness. I've researched, ordered and enjoyed many brands! But for me, this Good Brother's version stood out -- it is far superior to them all. For the first time, after decades of moving around from roaster to roaster, I'm using a *SUBSCRIPTION* so I never run out. Yup, that good.

Firstly, the coffee is much better than my attempt at Latte Art! Lol....However, the coffee itself is amazing! Its great as a straight shot and works very well with milk as well! I taste notes of Malt, and a kinda salty flavor along with kind of leather notes! It's a very unique tasting coffee but still traditional enough to please a myriad of pallets!

This is phenomenal is a ristretto. I recommend a 1: 1.5 ratio and a shot time of about 30 secs. It's complex, creamy, and classic with an edge. It's what an espresso shot should be, and then more. This is not for light roast lovers. I'm not one of those, although I am open to all flavors and enjoy them. But this one is bold, dark-ish, and thick. Highly recommend!

I made the mistake of opening the first bag of Good Bros Indian Monsoon last night -- the smell from the bag stuck in my head, and I woke up WAAAAY too early to try a first cup! WOWZA, it exceeded expectations -- for a gal that has an obsession with monsoon coffees, this would qualify as the best I've had. Smokey, "forest-y" (is that a word?) -- like what I think Cowboy Coffee would taste like. Unlike any other coffee I've had in life.... monsooned coffee has altered what I expect coffee to be, and Good Brothers: YOU NAILED IT and then some. Off to subscribe and save, every morning needs to start with this exact coffee!!!!

It was a turnip instead of a tulip. Sorry for the botched art. This batch didn’t seem to have the same roasting profile I had from previous orders. Less crema, less pronounced flavors. Not as fresh. But overall better than most cafes. Hope the next batch returns to what I’m accustomed to.

It is salty. The taste is just like sitting on the beach and filled with ocean smell. Very rare and special taste for coffee. Definitely worth a try.

18g dose with a 40g output, WDT and shower screen. Brew temp: 99C Grinder: La-Cimbali JR Rancilio Slivia with 20g IMS basket. Excellent crema with very low bitterness and slight acidity.Good body and the saltiness is noticeable. Overall a very interesting coffee, a nice change from my casual Star-B French Roast. When I got the bean the roast was 1 week old.

Easy to dial in. Consistently great tasting shots with loads of crema. Used to get Liquid Amber, but the oily beans created issues with my grinder after a while.

Very rich and bright flavors in espresso shots with a note of salt at finish. Works with milk or straight up.

After trying a few other beans of similar roasts trying to perfect the taste of some espresso drinks I was after, this roast was awesome right off the bat. I took in a recommendation and won’t look back. I’ll be happy to have Good Brothers coffee in my pantry when I want a great tasting cup of coffee. As you can see, the macchiato I have to the left tasted fantastic and is my style of the famous Starbucks variant of a hot Macchiato.

Beans are of great quality, low acid and full of flavor. I highly recommend a membership as its the best way to receive your high quality beans exactly when you are about o run out.

I do not taste the salty flavor from this but is rich syrupy. I like it for expresso more than pour over. I am trying some more beans and I think I am hook on coffee.

I'm still new to home espresso making, but this bean is my favorite thus far.

I too was a little hesitant to try these beans due to the described salt note. Then I remembered my grandfather used to put salt in his coffee. After receiving these beans, all I can say is Wow!! Really good stuff here. It has crema for days and just tastes outstanding. It is the first bean I have had where I enjoy it as an espresso, lungo, coffee, flat white, cappuccino and latte amongst others. It runs the gamut for me. It pairs very well with milk. I am really, really impressed. Well done Good Brothers.
