Ecuador Pichincha Galo Morales Washed Gesha
CUP PROFILE: Strawberry, toffee, blackberry, lemon, and candy
About the coffee:
This is a low intervention washed Gesha cultivar coffee from Pichincha, Ecuador, produced by Galo Morales Flores and Maria Alexandra Rivera on their farm, Finca Cruz Loma.
Floral aroma with a pronounced fruity character—hints of blackberry, lemon, honeysuckle, and peach are interwoven with a rich, toffee-like sweetness. For our pour-overs, we discovered that a generous dose, coarse grind, and extended brew time delivered the most impressive results, while even our standard-ratio espressos thrived with longer extractions.
Roast Level for us:
light -- around a 10-11 % weight loss.

Roasted this light, around 11% weight loss. Super fruity, while remaining clean. A bit more fruit forward than other Geishas I've had recently, yet still has some florality as it cools. A nice coffee.
