Diego Bermudez Finca El Paraíso – Zeo Geisha
CUP PROFILE: Orange Starburst • Lemon-Lime • Vibrant
Bright citrus, candy sweetness, and delicate florals meet in a remarkably clean. This Geisha opens with lively aromas of orange, lemon-lime, and honeysuckle, bringing to mind citrus gummies and the sweet, fruity nostalgia of Fruity Pebbles.
Hot, the cup is smooth and rounded, with yellow lemonade, sweet orange, and a creamy body that carries its vibrant citrus flavors beautifully. As it cools, Orange Starburst sweetness gives way to tropical hints of pineapple and kiwi, alongside softer notes of lychee and apricot. Bergamot and jasmine become more pronounced, leading into a lingering, sweet lemon finish.
Expressive yet delicate, this is a coffee to take your time with—each change in temperature reveals something new. This coffee is definitely special! We have had older versions of this about 2 years ago this one is the winner!
About the Process
Grown at Finca El Paraíso at 1,960 meters above sea level, this Geisha comes from carefully selected trees cultivated to highlight the variety’s clean, complex, floral, and fruity character.
Cherries are harvested at peak ripeness, then immersed in an ozone disinfection tank to remove impurities and unwanted microorganisms. Within four hours, the cherries are frozen to −40°C.
The frozen fruit then moves into a drying chamber, where zeolites—highly absorbent minerals—work alongside negative pressure to dehydrate the coffee cherries. The process is designed to preserve the fruit’s structure, color, and natural flavors, capturing a vivid expression of ripe Geisha cherry in the finished cup.
