Highly recommend for helping to tamp and reducing the amount of grounds I have to clean off the counter. I have rounded edges on my countertops and it is not possible to use the edge of the counter to tamp and I don't fancy balancing the portafilter on its 2 spouts. This has thick silicone that gives you a sturdy, slip-resistant edge to tamp on and a place to level the grounds and set the tamp which catches any spilled coffee. I can then just rinse it and not have to wipe the counter. Very pleased!
