Ethiopia Buncho Honey Sidama

Tasting Notes: Honeysuckle • Stone Fruits • Clean

This honey-processed coffee from Ethiopia's Sidama region is vibrant, expressive, and remarkably clean. It opens with juicy stone fruit sweetness, layered with delicate honeysuckle florals and a nectar-like quality that gives the cup a lively, refreshing character.

As the coffee cools, ripe peach and nectarine become more pronounced while the floral aromatics continue to develop, creating an elegant balance between fruit and sweetness. A subtle creaminess rounds out the finish, giving the coffee a silky texture without overshadowing its bright, articulate profile.

Expect a cup that's playful and refined—bursting with stone fruit character, kissed by floral notes, and finishing exceptionally clean.

Origin: Ethiopia
Region: Sidama
Process: Honey Process

What to Expect

  • Juicy peach and nectarine
  • Delicate honeysuckle florals
  • Fruit nectar sweetness
  • Crisp, clean finish with lasting sweetness

Whether you're brewing as a pour-over or another filter method, Ethiopia Buncho Honey Sidama delivers a beautifully transparent cup that highlights everything we love about exceptional Ethiopian coffees: clarity, sweetness, and elegant florals.

Personal note: This is a light roast. The outside color seems a bit darker due to the honey process. This is the second time having this coffee on the menu! We love it!

Our Roast Level:

Light  8.32 % WL (original moisture 8%) whole bean color 80.7 and 138.1 ground (Lebrew) Higher number = lighter color. We are dropping this one 14 secs after first crack starts.

RESTING RECOMMENDATIONS:

10-15 days for pour over. 2-3 weeks on espresso.  We did find that early brews was a bit muted and really seemed to open up 10 + days. This one needs some rest!
